2. Many Moslems from Indonesia (go) to Makkah every
year.
Many Moslems from Indonesia go to Makkah
every year.
J go → go, because the subject is plural.
Setiap kalimat present yang bersubjek
I (singular first person), You (plural and singular second person), They (plural
third person), We (plural first person) menggunakan Verb 1. Atau dengan kata
lain, hanya kalimat present yang bersubjek Singular thing (kata ganti benda)
dan Singular third person (kata ganti orang ketiga tunggal) yang menggunakan
Verb 1 + es/ s.
For another example:
-We play football
every weeks.
-They study English at school.
3. A government employee (live) on small salary.
A government employee lives on small salary.
J live → lives, because the subject is singular third
person.

(kata ganti benda) dan Singular third person (kata ganti orang ketiga
tunggal) menggunakan Verb 1 + es/s.
For another example:
-The kitten tries to jump.
-He goes
to the office at 7 o’clock.
4. The sun always (shine) in Indonesia.
The sun always shines in Indonesia.
J shine → shines, because the subject is singular
thing.
-Penjelasan dan contohnya sama dengan soal nomor 3.
-Bila menggunakan have/ has penjelasan dan contohnya
sama degan soal nomor 1.
5. We (read) The newspaper in class everyday.
We read The newspaper in class everyday.
J read ↔ read, because the subject is plural first
person.
Setiap kalimat present yang bersubjek
I (singular first person), You (plural and singular second person), They
(plural third person), We (plural first person) menggunakan Verb 1.
Soal nomor 5 sejenis dengan soal nomor 2, sama-sama
menggunakan kata ganti jamak.
6. We (come) to school by bus.
We come to school buy bus.
J come ↔ come, because the subject is plural first
person.
Soal nomor 6 sama dengan nomor 5, menggunakan kata
ganti orang pertama jamak. Sehingga Verb 1 tidak perlu ditambahkan es/s.
7. I usually (have) lunch at home.
I usually have lunch at home.
J have ↔ have, because the subject is first person.
Soal nomor 2, 5, 6 7 memiliki subjek plural dan
singular first person, yang tergabung dalam I, You, They, We. Dimana bila
kalimat present memiliki subjek tersebut maka penggunaan Verb 1 tidak perlu
ditambahkan es/s.
